Monthly community potluck and sharing stories of place, Friday July 19th, 7-10 pm.

We invite you to join us to share stories, food, song and community connection at this new summer event! Bring a dish to share with friends and neighbors as we eat together outside, then gather 'round the bonfire to share stories of the land and our ancestors. 

We all live in a region connected by the land. Together we can weave the collective story of this place; Past, Present, and Future.  Come share about your connection to your favorite park, creek, or backyard tree so we can all share in this.  Youngers and elders welcome (they often bring the best stories). Participants will learn the basic steps and get hands on experience  cultivating species of edible and medicinal mushrooms using low-tech, low cost techniques.  In this workshop we'll walk through the process of growing grain spawn and ways to expand it onto a variety of substrates for both indoor and outdoor cultivation using readily available and repurposed materials. $25-45 sliding scale.  To register, or for more information, contact ian@tryonfarm.org
