Join us at our 11th Annual Holiday Party!
This is our longest running TLC Farm event, and we invite you to become part of its legacy. Each year as the cold descends on the land, we throw open our doors to welcome in our extended community to share in the beauty of the land and the generousity of the season.
This year, along with our traditional wine, cheese, farm tour and year in review, we're adding a few new parts:
1) an arts and crafts bazaar to help with your holiday shopping. A generous percent of all money made in the bazaar will go to support TLC Farm;
2) a "Jubilee" table - where folks can bring an item or two of good stuff they no longer need, and others who do need it can take it home with them;
3) a kid-friendly craft table, led by the wonderful Mother Earth School teachers.
Note: this is a free event, but it also is a fundraiser - be prepared to be asked to chip in to help TLC Farm meet its $10,000 winter fundrasing goal. Check out our photo year-in-review to see what we've been up to!
And, for your added convnience, this event has Valet Parking! Wow!
Come enjoy tea and snacks while you learn how to volunteer with TLC Farm!
Do you like working outdoors with kids? Looking for more teaching experience? Come volunteer as an educator with TLC Farm's Hands-On Sustainability Youth Education Program! Learn how to engage participants aged preschool through college in an interactive farm tour and hands-on activities and lessons focused on permaculture, sustainable waste management, natural building and more! This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience teaching and leading groups, public speaking and event organizing.
This training provides you with all you need to know to get started, including an in-depth look at the farm, tools for working with youth of various ages and backgrounds as well as games & team-building activities.
