Excitingness is evolving for Tryon Life Community Farm's annual holiday celebration, which is also the public debut of our new yurt! Rain or shine, we will have a great time together with food, drink, music, kids activities, farm tour and more! This year will be the first-ever party in the new 30-foot yurt, which serves as an indoor education and event space. We've had an amazing time putting it together (read the yurt story) and can't wait to share it with you.
TLC Farm's holiday party (our tenth annual!) always draws a fascinating and fun mix of the broad TLC community -- come meet new and old friends!
Music! Anna Fritz (cello!), Marian and friends (mbira!), Wildwood (bluegrass!), Sol Nectar (beautiful earthy folk!), Cosmic Rose (funky folk!), Sparkle Coozy (sweetness!) and more.
Yum! Snacks, cheeses and sweets of all kinds, wine from Helvetia and Oswego Hills Wineries, homebrewed cedar beer, Lionheart Kombucha, Mudd Works Roastery coffee, spiced cider and more! (Let us know if you want to offer some finger foods!)
Silent Auction! Herbal medicine package, law consultation, acupuncture, mountain retreats, beautiful tree art, hand knit items, a date with a Farmie, and more!
Fun! Contact improv dance performace, kids face painting, art activities, tours of the land, etc.
Opportunities to give back to TLC Farm! This December, we are not only fundraising for keeping our programs vibrant, but also for our new yurt! Our goal is $15,000 this month, which is $5,000 more than our typical December goal. Please consider transforming your appreciation of TLC Farm into a donation!
Creative transport and parking! We will offer our once-a-year valet parking services. Please please check our carpool rideshare board and reduce car volume. This is a great way to meet new friends! Pull into the State Park parking lot at the top of our driveway and we will carefully park your car for you. We will also have a rideshare board posted at the party to help folks coordinate getting home. Directions are here.
*Note: The hang-out-and-socialize part of the party will end around 6pm, and from 7-9pm we will enjoy a special one-time only dramatic reading of a Tom Stoppard play. You are welcome to stay and enjoy the show (which may not be kid-friendly).
Feedback and participation welcome! Please send bug reports to web@tryonfarm.org
