Join us for our annual spring fest and skillshare! Enjoy delicious wood-fired pizzas, salads and desserts. Musical performances by Medicine 4 the People, Sara Tone, Stone Crowe and more. Workshops and children's activities will be happening until dark.
This year we are celebrating 5 years of bringing sustainability education to the Portland metro area and we want to see you there. This event is always a non-alcohol, family friendly event. Shuttle service will be provided every hour (on the hour) from Riverdale High School (9727 SW Terwilliger Blvd Portland 97219) starting at 3pm and will also make several stops at the Barbur Transit center (9750 SW Barbur Blvd.) at 2:30, 5:30, 8:30 and 11:30pm. There is no on-site parking available unless you are a performer, a workshop presenter or an overnight guest.
This event is $20 for Saturday, $30 for both days (food will be provided at an extra cost). Children 12 and under are free. Work trade shifts are available as well as free admission in exchange for offering a workshop. For those traveling from out of town, there are limited campsites available. Join us for a weekend workshop on building a mass rocket heater stove (MRHS). These stoves are highly efficient and provide warmth for days after burning. The course, led by expert stovebuiders Ernie and Erica Weisner, will include all aspects of building a MRHS.
The workshop will begin Friday night, with an informational slideshow and discussion. Saturday and Sunday will be build days, where participants will help with everything from mixing cob, laying pipe and learning how it all fits together.
