Join us for the annual Holiday Open House, December 14, 1-3 p.m., in our warm and cozy yurt. We’ll have craft activities for the kids, festive refreshments, and a slide show celebrating the twentieth anniversary of protecting Tryon Life Community Farm! For this annual fundraiser, we encourage donations of whatever amount is comfortable, no turned away for lack of funds. Hope to see you here!

Join our annual Holiday showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol on Monday, December 22, at 7 pm in the yurt. Some say (and we agree!) that this is the best adaptation of the classic Christmas story. We'll provide hot cider and snacks - donations welcome, but not necessary.

Ursula Le Guin Birthday Bash October 18 12-3 pm

Celebrate the life and works of Portland's beloved author, Ursula K. Le Guin, with us! There will be birthday cake and snacks, music, ice-breakers, spontaneous discussion circles, books by local authors for sale, and a book swap: bring an old read, find a new one.

Annual Goat Mucking! Saturday Sept 20 9 am to 2 pm

Do You Like Getting Down and Dirty? Come muck out the goats' barn with us! Saturday, Sept. 20, 9:00-2:00. Make friends, get exercise, and have smelly, dirty fun while learning how Tryon Farm turns goat manure into fantastic fertilizer. Contact Brenna at brenna@tlcfarm.org for details.

Land-Tending Work Party - Feb 28 at 10 am

Cob Building Work Party
Join us for our monthly land-tending work party and skill share. This month, we'll remove invasive blackberry (and learn to distinguish it from native blackberry), practice techniques for seeding native species in a green wall, and create parking stops for our parking area. Join us afterward for our our Land-Tending Team meeting and snacks. The farm's driveway is at the south end of the Tryon Creek State Natural Area parking lot on Boones Ferry Rd., roughly opposite Coronado St. As you drive down the driveway, you'll see parking spaces on your left. We will meet at the farm's Outdoor Kitchen, just downhill from those parking spaces.

Volunteer Orientation Feb 28 at 4:30

Join us for volunteer orientation to learn about the many ways you can volunteer at the farm: land tending, outdoor education, events, and more. Help out one time or be an ongoing volunteer. You'll learn about the history of the farm and get a chance to explore. If you wish, stay for our monthly potluck at 6 p.m. No RSVP or commitment required.

Building Party, Sept 6

Calling experienced builders who would like to help us finish this outdoor hexi classroom and workshop space.
