Calling all Outdoor Environmental Education volunteers!

Kids in Greenhouse with Education Intern Alycia Bouyanan

Do you like working outdoors with kids? Are you passionate about teaching youth a range of sustainability topics including gardening, natural building, or restoration?

We are especially in need of volunteers for our Outdoor Environmental Education Team.

This team helps lead youth outdoor education tours and events at TLC Farm. Our program engages youth from preschool through college in an interactive farm tour and hands-on activities and lessons on specific sustainability themes such as gardening, permaculture, natural building, restoration, medicinal plants, forest ecology and more.

Volunteer Educators help lead youth field trip activities at Tryon Life Community Farm using activities from TLC Farm's curriculum. Training will be provided. No experience neccessary, although previous experience working with youth is a huge bonus. Field trips are usually scheduled during the daytime Tuesdays through Fridays.
