Guthrie: yum!A few days ago, as we were working on building benches for a new meditation area, a nice woman walked down the driveway with a bucket of grapes. “I thought you might be able to use these,” she offered as she explained that we would need to go find more containers to receive her load of grapes. Turns out that Doris lives down the road in Lake Oswego and thought that we might be able to put her over-abundant grape harvest to good use.

grape juice makingShe was right! Two Farm visitors quickly pulled out our juicer and in a few minutes we had gallons of fresh grape juice to share!

It’s a great feeling to know that people see TLC Farm as a resource in myriad ways—in this case, as a place to share someone’s fall harvest with the broader community! Thanks, Doris!
