Bloom Fest

Join us Sunday, June 10, from 3-10 pm for a veryspecial Bloom Festival!  This year, we'reteaming up with our friends at City Repair to cel ebrate the last day of the Village Building Conver gence at TLC Farm's annual Bloom Fest. A fternoon activities will include: ~live musi c from Tyra the fiddler and Lumberjack; ~sto rytelling with Ed Edmo and Fayer Hutchins; ~ facepainting, ~visiting the baby goats, me dicinal plant walk, and more!  In the even ing, we'll sing together in community song c ircles throughout the land. This is a very f amily friendly event - so bring your kids and yourparents. Delicious, organic food and drink willbe available (not included in entrance fee). $10-20 sliding scale donation for the event, kid s are free.  All proceeds benefit TLC Farm'ssustainability education programs and the VillageBuilding Convergence. Enchanted Farm and Forest Tour

Thanks for your support!   Come visit the Enchanted Far m and Forest - where magic awaits around every cor ner! Children and adults will be lead by a costume d tour guide along winding forest and garden paths . On the way they will meet whimsical characters -like a sleepy bear or Grandmother Cedar - who wil l offer them gifts and special messages as they tr y to solve a mystery.    Parking: Please drop off your passengers at TLC Farm and park at Riverdale High School lessthan a mile down the street and hop a ride on the'mystery mobile' back to the farm site.  Childcare will be provided by Willow Creek Forest School for the brief trip to and from the p arking lot. You can also transfer your carse at into the 'mystery mobil', if you pre fer. No onsite parking. Riverdale High school is located at 9727 SW Terwilliger Blvd, Po rtland, OR 97219.    Pleasenote: - Sign up for a time slot when you pur chase tickets. Apple Fest, September 23, 2-5 pm

Join us to celebrate that best of fruits - t he APPLE!  For our fourth annual Apple Festival, we'll explore many wonderfulways to engage with apples - including: apple tastings of our many heirloom apple varietal s, apple cider pressing, apple-themed cock tails, an apple pie contest (bring your best p ie!), and sharing songs to sing to apple trees . We'll also have a tour of TLC Farm , with a special emphasis on the orchard, and mus ic and activities for all.   This is a f undraiser for TLC Farm's educational programswith a suggested donation of $10-20, but n o one turned away for lack of funds.  &nbs p; As always, there is no onsite parking !  Ride your bike or organize carpools  and catch the shuttle at Riverdale High Sch ool (9727 SW Terwilliger Blvd.)  

Spring Seed Celebration

The event is a fundraiser for our new Ethnobotanic al Education Program designed to support youth in exploring and understanding the beauty and necessi ty of our relationship to plants as humans.   ;There will be a silent auction to benefit the edu cational program. Suggested donation is $10-2 0/person or family (no one turned away for lack offunds). Like our other big events,there is no onsite parking. Bloom Festival!

Time again to BLOOM, and to celebrate the tenth a nniversary of TLC Farm's saving this land (ye s, we know that was really in January, but this is a much more lovely time to have a big party!)   And, we're celebrating Father' ;s Day!  And, the summer solstice!  So many reasons to join in the celebration! &nbs p; This event will showcase our most precious a sset - you, our community of friends and neighbor s.  It will include a song-sharing circle, potluck, community-led workshops, an open mic, and many special moments of co-created magic.  ;   There is no on-site parking ava ilable; please cathc our continuous shuttle at Ri verdale High School.

  This year, along with our traditional w ine, cheese, farm tour and year in review, we&# 39;re adding a few new parts: 1) an arts and crafts bazaar to help with your holiday shopping.  A generous percent of all money m ade in the bazaar will go to support TLC Farm; 2) a "Jubilee" table - whe re folks can bring an item or two of good stuff th ey no longer need, and others who do need it can take it home with them; 3) a kid-friendlycraft table, led by the wonderful Mother Earth S chool teachers.   Note: this is a free event, but it also is a fundraiser - b e prepared to be asked to chip in to help TLC Farmmeet its $10,000 winter fundrasing goal.   ; And, for your added convnience, this event has Valet Parking!  Wow!  

Apple Celebration, Oct. 12, 2-5 pm

It's time to love up that best of fruits, th e apple, with a celebration all its own.  We'll be: pressing apple cider withour cool DIY apple press (which includes a garbag e disposal and a car jack), sharing our favori te apple songs  having an apple pie bake- off (bring your best pie!) making homemade ice cream with fresh goat milk, and touring our th ree orchards (which include many heirloom apple va rieties)  There will also be music a nd fun, friendly goats, the grand opening of theBack Perch of the yurt, and a general celebratio n of our broader community coming together.    You are welcome to give donations to TLC Farm at the event!  They are not require d, but always appreciated. As always, thereis no on-site parking.  We'll be runni ng a continuous shuttle from Riverdale Highschool (9727 S.W. Terwilliger Rd. Portland, 97219).  ; You can also bike or carpool!

Bloom Festival!

Bloom Festival is a family friendly day fill ed with live music, local organic food, workshop s, games, and a magically fun atmosphere.& nbsp; The festival with feature specia l entertainment by ClownsSnotBombs, offerin g clown workshops, face painting, a juice-powere d blender, and a circus performance called ' Spagetti Western'. Kaleidoscope Community Yog a, faciliating human mandalas through play and co llaboration, offers an opportunity for fun,  ;connective movement.  The day will bepeppered with incredible live music by Sol Nectar , The Dirty Dandelions, and ecstatic dance set b y DJ Carola Mariashi. Other friends of the farm wi ll be sprinkled about the land offering music, en tertainment, workshops, games and crafts. Every nook and cranny of the farm will contain some magi c for you, your friends and your family to discover.   Suggestions Donations$10-20 , no one turned away for lack of funds Carpooling is highly encouraged.  Check t he rideshare board to offer and ask for rides!&nbs p;  **More details about the schedule of events throughout the day coming soon ****
