August Applied Permaculture : An Introduction to P ermaculture Design and its Applications

So whats Permaculture anyway? This one day class w ill provide curious minds with an introduction to permaculture principles, design philosophy and a variety of skills and techniques that can be appli ed in the farm and garden setting. Participan ts will have the opportunity to get hands on exper ience with soil building, water catchment, plantcultivation and more at one of the most establish ed permaculture farms in the Portland area.  Vegan, gluten free lunch will be provided. n   Ian Mae is gardener, herbali st, youth educator and land steward at Tryon LifeCommunity Farm.  He received a certificate in Permaculture Design through a course lead by To by Hemingway and has studied with Missy Rhoss and Gradey Proctor at the Arctos School of Botanical S tudies.   The cost for this cla ss is $50 Discounted cost for Friends of the Farm Monthly Donors: $35 Early Bird Special!:Register by August 10th and receive $10 off Scholarships are available!
