Tryon Life Community Farm is hosting its annual spring festival, Bloom!

Join us in bringing this land to life with live musical performances, skillshares, presentations and activities for kids and adults, including hands-on natural building, tending fruit trees, medicinal plant walks and more!

We'll also be sharing something that's been blooming strongly here on the land recently: engaging communities of color with the land as core stewards in our work together. We'll invite fellow Bloomers to engage in conversations and share skills for decentering whiteness and bringing communities together in solidarity; we'll support POC-only spaces during the event for those that feel called; and we'll have specific people available to mediate hard or awkward moments that may arise. This work will be full of life, the bursting of feelings in this moment of renewal, rebirth, and rejoicing amidst these difficult times!

Also new this to Bloom this year: technical tree climbing and a late night silent dance party!  Ever wanted to climb high into the canopy of our big trees? We'll be joined by a professional tree climber who will be guiding folks safely into the trees with ropes and harnesses.

Silent Dance party from 8pm-11pm! A new way to turn up the volume and raise the roof without disturbing the blissful peace of the forest at sundown. DJ sets will be broadcast over radio, so dancers can rockout on headphones. Something even the owls and coyotes of the Tryon Forest can get on board with!

We'll also have a bonfire and welcome folks to play acoustic music together around the fire. What! Playing acoustic music by the fire right in the middle of a rockin DJ set?! The magic of the silent dance party!

Food will be available, and we invite dishes and snacks to share.

****PARKING*** As always, we have NO ON SITE PARKING
We'll be running a shuttle from a nearby parking lot (likely to be Riverdale High School). Stay tuned for details!
